A Shibescription is a Doginal as catalogued by an indexer: an envelope of bytes, a content type, and a serial number assigned in the order the indexer saw valid inscriptions. Shibescription #0 (24 February 2023, image-bearing in contemporary accounts) is the origin stamp. Numbers after that are only as canonical as the software counting them.

Numbering is not consensus

Bitcoin Ordinals numbers satoshis; inscriptions inherit a sat’s identity as it moves. Doginals attempts the same for shibes. Because early Dogecoin subsidies were random, two honest implementations can disagree about which shibe is which until they share a subsidy table. That is why “my Shibescription number” should always be cited with an indexer.

We do not hang a forgery of #0. The original bytes live on the chain. See them on the Doge Soft explorer. Reproducing them here would confuse provenance with illustration.
